High Trees Road in Reigate now has an award-winning status, thanks to Blandford House. Built by Millwood Designer Homes, the house has recently won Best Family Home over £1.5M in the Small Housebuilder category at the Evening Standard Awards.

The home is now sold but its sister, Chartfield House, has just launched which means that you still have the chance to live in a beautiful home based on award-winning designs.

Just like its sister, Chartfield House takes full advantage of the existing site levels and gradients, and although it’s a four-storey home, the basement accommodation is set into the slope so that from the front it has the appearance of a two-storey house.

From the back, the elevated position allows you to appreciate panoramic views of the Surrey countryside from the south-facing terrace.

The homes has been carefully detailed and finished with materials which are commonplace in the Reigate area. Externally they range from facing brickwork, tile hanging, render and mock Tudor detail.

Inside, you’ll find the superior specification for which Millwood has become renowned. This home really does have it all – including a lift to all floors just in case you don’t feel like taking the stairs!

Chartfield House is a wonderful home, epitomising luxury and indulgence, but it’s the attention to detail that makes it so special. It’s flooded with light thanks to an abundance of bifolds, French doors and Juliet balconies, ensuring you can enjoy those views all year round. All five bedrooms are en suite – the master bedroom even has its own dressing room – and there’s a butler’s pantry next to the media room.

When it comes to entertaining guests, you’re spoilt for choice: drawing room, dining room or family room, all with bifolds to the garden. Then there’s the huge kitchen/breakfast room which has a separate cloakroom and utility with side access. Of course, we mustn’t forget the library and cellar, or the triple garage and plenty of parking for when friends and family visit.

Says Sales Director Philip Brown:

“We are incredibly proud to have received the award for Blandford House but the fact that the home has sold need not disappoint. Chartfield House is very similar in terms of design, layout and specification so if you want to live in a home that is so impressive it wins awards, then Chartfield House is perfect.

“Location is also taken into account with these awards and High Trees Road is a fantastic location in Reigate. Just one minute’s walk from Redhill Common with spectacular views across the Weald to the South Downs, it’s a fantastic place to explore.

“In Reigate you’ll find delis, dress shops and cafes. The town is also well-known for its dining scene, including The Dining Room. Head Chef Tony Tobin, of BBC’s Ready Steady Cook fame, has established the restaurant as one of Surrey’s finest.

“He also has a very special treat for whoever buys Chartfield House – he has agreed to provide a meal for six, to be cooked in the house’s kitchen.

“Of course, we mustn’t forget the great schools in the area, as well as the open spaces of Priory Park and the North Downs, making Reigate a great choice for families, whilst commuters can be in London Bridge in 39 minutes and Gatwick in half that time.”

All in all it is easy to see why Blandford House won the award, and there is no doubt that Chartfield House is just as deserving.

Guide price: £2.65 million. The show home is open daily between 11am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday, and 11am to 5:30pm at weekends.
