With another festive season now upon us, it is the perfect time to take stock and reflect on the successful twelve months we have had. I would like to thank all our colleagues, suppliers, partners and most importantly, our customers for their enduring support.

In what has been a particularly challenging year, there has been a strong and steady level of interest across all of our stunning new homes, and we have successfully launched a selection of new developments, including Bakers Field in Kent, The Glebe in Storrington, and in partnership with luxury interior designer, Neptune, a superb new show home was unveiled at Cherry Tree Lane in Surrey. With several new developments planned for 2020, I am very much looking forward to delivering more impressive new homes to the market, alongside the meticulous attention to detail that Millwood is renowned for.

I am also very proud of our achievements within the local communities where we build, this year we have been involved with a variety of charities and sponsorships. Most recently we commissioned three bespoke Christmas gingerbread houses replicating three of our beautiful show homes, these have been donated to three local charities to enjoy and personally delivered by our staff.

Suzy Smith, owner of Quintessential Cookies comments: “Reproducing these three beautiful Christmas gingerbread houses for Millwood Designer Homes has been one of my biggest challenges to date. Capturing the intricate detail in gingerbread and Royal Icing was certainly tricky, but it gave me an amazing sense of achievement to pull them off and deliver them to a delighted client. It is also lovely to know that they will be thoroughly enjoyed by the local charities too.”

Anna Reid, Manager of Cherry Trees disabled children’s charity in Surrey comments: “Every Christmas our charity sees many people and organisations across the community we work in wanting to do something for our children and young people. When we were told Millwood Homes wanted to donate a giant gingerbread house, it was something we haven’t had before and were really excited about. Our carers work hard, taking care of children and young people with complex disabilities and learning difficulties when they come to us for a respite visit. Without them, their patience, their knowledge, their care and their kindness, Cherry Trees wouldn’t be the place that is. The gingerbread house will be a welcome treat on breaks between shifts, especially for the night carers who sit up through the long nights and we are very grateful for this acknowledgment of their work and the service we provide. Merry Christmas Millwood and thank you.”

Anna Syplywczak, Manager for disabled children’s charity For Us Too in Margate comments: “We are absolutely thrilled that Millwood Designer Homes has made such a kind gesture to donate this incredible gingerbread house to us. Our charity will be holding its annual Christmas party for all the children this month and it is sure to be the talking point of the room, the children are going to love looking at it and eating it!”
