On Wednesday 4th November, children from Storrington Primary School marked a memorable year by planting a time capsule at our West Sussex development, The Glebe. Three junior students, Felix Harvey, Lily Smith and Harry Inman buried the capsule, alongside our Sales Manager Juliette Hay and Contracts Manager Rob Baldock, marking a year that many will not forget in a hurry.

Due to be dug up and opened in November 2045, the children filled the time capsule with items that perfectly represent the year 2020. Each child wrote a letter detailing how life is now and information about key events that have happened this year. They also included a small toy each, in addition to a current newspaper cutting and a face mask – an item that many of us will remember the year 2020 by.

Mrs Marion Smith, Headteacher at Storrington Primary School, comments: “The children were thrilled to be part of making history by filling and burying the time capsule on the new Millwood housing development. They wonder what life will be like in 25 years’ time when the capsule will be opened.”

Mel Inman, Office Manager at Storrington Primary School, comments: “We had a lovely afternoon in the sunshine burying the time capsule at The Glebe. The children had a fantastic time putting everything together for the capsule, and were very excited to be a part of this event.”
