According to recent research conducted by Vitality Health people who spend less than half an hour travelling to work gain an extra seven days of productive time every year, are less stressed and have a healthier lifestyle than people who commute over 60 minutes.  One family who have embraced this concept are Gini and Lee Bradshaw and their two daughters Georgia (10) and Lexie (8) who have moved from East Grinstead to a new four bedroom home at Millwood Designer Homes’ Monks Meadows development, located directly opposite Ardingly College, Gini’s place of work and the girls’ school.

Gini, a teaching assistant at Ardingly College is currently training to become a full-time teacher. She explains: “My husband and I had been discussing moving house for a while and were looking for a new-build, as DIY has never interested either of us.  Working at Ardingly College, I had been watching the new homes by Millwood take shape and was greatly attracted by the rural surroundings, individual design of the houses and perfect location opposite Ardingly College, where I work and the girls go to school.”

“We were delighted to reserve the plot of our choice, as we were the first purchasers to buy off-plan. Our home has a large garden, a field directly in front and woodland to the side.  We are so pleased that we were able to purchase a new-build that was surrounded by beautiful countryside.”

Gini continues: “As the girls grow older, their social life as well as their school life is changing and I wanted them to be closer to their friends and have the flexibility of living close to school so the girls could do different activities after school. Our move has been extremely practical, as the girls and I can walk to work and school every-day. My husband works in Wimbledon so he usually drives, however if he does need to get the train, Haywards Heath is just 4 miles away and the commute is much easier compared his old journey from East Grinstead.”

Gini concludes: “Millwood has been superb from start from finish. The build quality is excellent and even a company that came to fit our curtain poles commented on this. It’s a lovely thing to hear from someone else, that they were as impressed with the house as we are!”
