Local students Jack Palmer (18) and Alexander Giles (16) have recently been recognised for their outstanding efforts at their school, The Skinners’ School in Tunbridge Wells. Jack has been awarded The Millwood Cup for Senior Design and Alexander has achieved the Millwood Prize for Middle School Excellence in Product Design. The prize is sponsored by Millwood Designer Homes, as part of its prestigious annual Encouragement Pack initiative, which works with a number of schools across Kent and East Sussex.

The students were awarded with their Encouragement Packs at their prize giving ceremony earlier this month. Rob Sisley, Millwood’s Finance Director, met Jack and Alexander to present them each with a prize of a trophy, along with a £50 cheque and £50 book token.

Edward Wesson, Headmaster at Skinners’ comments: “Both students have made an outstanding effort this year and have proven to be a real credit to the school. We are thrilled by their award of a Millwood Encouragement Pack and have no doubt that this will foster their continued interest within the field. We are very grateful to Millwood Designer Homes for their support of our design department and the recognition of our young men.”

Millwood currently has a range of homes available across Kent, Sussex and Surrey. In Sussex, new communities are coming to life at Coppice End in Crowborough and Heatherlands in Heathfield as well as Bakers Field in Cliffsend, Kent, providing a wide range of homes for a spectrum of buyers.

Alexander commented: “I would like to thank Millwood Homes for awarding me this generous prize, I feel truly honoured.”
