The idea of living close to work and cutting out long commuting times is a dream for many, so it is not surprising that 65 per cent of homebuyers rated good transport links as a crucial factor when looking for  a new home, according to the latest ‘British Buyer Barometer’ ¹survey. The cost, length and ease of commuting is a consideration that homebuyers don’t need to be concerned with at Millwood Designer Homes’ development The Vale in Southfleet, Kent, which offers commuters easy access to Ebbsfleet International Station just 10 minutes away with its six high speed trains an hour into Stratford to reach Canary Wharf in 12 minutes and St Pancras in 18 minutes.

Longfield Railway station is also just two miles away offering services into London Victoria in 29 minutes, while Dartford station has regular services to London Bridge, Waterloo East and Charing Cross.

Philip Brown, Sales Director at Millwood Designer Homes, comments: “Commuting is a necessity for many and The Vale’s prime position has made it extremely popular, with 80 per cent already snapped up by those homebuyers seeking an executive home outside London that offers the benefits of semi-rural living but with the added bonus of a quick and easy journey into the city or motorway links.”

The Vale comprises a collection of 32 terraced, semi-detached and detached homes and the conversion of an Oast House into two semi-detached homes, set in an idyllic location backing onto open fields in the picturesque village of Southfleet. Residents can take advantage of the excellent amenities the village offers including  two popular local public houses offering good food, a fully stocked farm shop, local cricket club, Day Nursery and Primary School, whilst the vibrant towns of Gravesend and Dartford lie just two and four miles away respectively for further shopping  and entertainment opportunities.

Externally, the homes have been designed to blend seamlessly with the local vernacular using reclaimed bricks and roof tiles where possible, whilst internally, the homes reflect Millwood’s high standards of craftsmanship with spacious open plan living and modern luxury kitchens featuring a comprehensive range of floor and wall cabinets and integrated appliances. Upstairs, contemporary white bathroom suites embellished with chrome fittings and ceramic wall and floor tiles continue the modern theme whilst spacious master bedrooms offer en-suites and fitted wardrobes. Externally homes have landscaped front gardens with feature planting and garages with up and over doors electronically operated or car ports.

In addition to the excellent rail links, there is also easy access to the A2 and M25, whilst keen shoppers can enjoy being just 10 minutes away by car from Bluewater shopping centre, with its large number of retail outlets, cinemas, bars and restaurants.

The development has been so successful that there are only three four bedroom detached homes from £675,000 and one five bedroom detached home with double garage priced at £925,000 currently available.
