Hamstreet Primary Academy, near Ashford, will be looking very smart at tournaments thanks to the support of local businesses who have sponsored their new sports kit.
Among the sponsors were ECTI (waste management engineering services and first-aid training) and Jump (drama, dance and music classes for children).
Kent-based housebuilder Millwood Designer Homes has sponsored new jackets for the school, something which is envied by other schools as although many have kit sponsorship, this doesn’t often extend to jackets.
Says Millwood’s Sales Director Philip Brown:
“We are delighted to be able to support the school and understand how hard it is for them to find the funding for things like this. They rely on the support of those outside the school and it is great to see a number of businesses are involved.
“We are pleased to know that the jackets are very much appreciated and so highly sought after! It was lovely to hear that on cold, wintry evenings when the children are standing on the side lines or waiting for a match to start, they are able to keep warm whilst looking smart in the process.”
Head Teacher Jane Macey is very grateful for the support, saying, “The children look so impressive now when they go to tournaments. They all look part of a team and the spirit, pride and fact they are wearing Hamstreet kit is fantastic.”
