There is a common misbelief that buying a new build home means sacrificing a safe location to park your car/s. Whether this be a garage, driveway or allocated parking space, new build homes can still offer safety and security, when it comes to parking.

The value of parking spaces is becoming higher than ever. In many areas, such as central London and it surrounds, demand for secure parking has resulted in people selling their private car parking spaces to those wanting to be close to their place of work, train stations and even their homes! In recent years, parking spaces in London have sold for hundreds of thousands of pounds, proving the importance and demand for a secure parking.

Although not as extreme as in the capital, access to convenient parking close to town centres, local amenities and even in residential areas is often lacking. At Millwood, we ensure the design and layout of our developments and homes caters to modern living. Responding to both planning guidance and taking into account our customers concerns and needs, we have increased car parking spaces on a number of our developments.

In particular, every home at our Windsor Meadow development in Marden, Kent, comes with either a car barn, or a single or double garage, for residents to park their cars. Also, at Lavender Fields in Isfield, East Sussex, the houses provide an abundance of parking with large driveways, as well as garages. The Farmhouse and Smithers Barn, the final two remaining homes, come complete with a double garage with electronically operated doors with remote control, power and light. These homes would be ideal for a family with older children, who own several vehicles.
