Millwood Designer Homes’ Sales and Marketing Director Philip Brown discusses Millwood’s recent donation to Sussex-based charity Taylor-Made Dreams:
After hearing of the incredible work that Sussex-based charity Taylor-Made Dreams do every day to help support children with terminal and life-limiting illnesses, we decided that we wanted to reach out and offer a helping hand.
On Monday 24th February, we presented Suzi Mitchell, founder of Taylor-Made Dreams, with a £500 cheque at Coppice End in Crowborough. Our donation will go towards making dreams happen for critically ill children; helping them to create and fulfil their very own bucket lists with things they would like to do, places they would like to go, people they would like to meet and items they would like to own.
Speaking of the donation, Suzi comments: “We were delighted and so grateful when Millwood Designer Homes contacted Taylor Made Dreams to offer support. Their very kind and generous donation of £500 is so deeply appreciated as Taylor Made Dreams does not receive any government funding and we rely hugely on the generosity of the corporate sector to support our work. Millwood raised the bar in CSR with their support, and the charitable funds donated will go on to create smiles in the eyes of children with illness across the South East of England.”
Set up in memory of Suzi’s son Taylor, Taylor-Made Dreams aims to enable children with life-limiting illnesses to achieve their dreams. As well as helping children to write a bucket list and making it happen, the charity also source and fund holistic therapy and counselling for all members of the family. They also offer each family a family portrait photo shoot and canvas with their favourite photo, providing them with memories they will cherish forever.
We are delighted to be able to support Suzi and Taylor-Made Dreams in offering a donation so that they can help even more poorly children and their families. The charity does an excellent job in being there for families through the most stressful time of their lives, and we are proud to help support the amazing ongoing work that they do.
