New research by Zoopla has revealed although average house values have increased by 4.53 per cent since 2016, Kent currently has the lowest average house value, compared to its neighbouring counties, making it a more affordable county to buy a new home. Recently launched, Millwood Designer Homes’ collection of three individually designed developments named ‘The Kent Collection’ has already received significant initial interest, offering an appealing investment for those wanting to jump onto or up the Kent property ladder.

With a variety of new homes now available at Windsor Meadow in Marden, The Old Orchard in Sutton Valence and Brambledown in Maidstone, properties within this exciting collection include chalet bungalows, terraced, semi-detached and spacious detached homes.

Philip Brown, Sales Director at Millwood Designer Homes comments: “The initial response to the Kent Collection has been fantastic with immediate sales at Brambledown and Windsor Meadows following the launch event at the weekend. The market in Kent is constantly changing and now is the right time to secure a place on the property ladder. Each development offers something different with a wide range of properties to suit the needs of discerning buyers. House hunters looking for a high quality, new build home in the heart of Kent should get in contact or visit the Sales Centre at Windsor Meadow, Marden for more information on how they can reserve their dream home.”

Windsor Meadow is close to the centre of Marden, located on an idyllic country lane. Comprising 85 houses, including 2 and 3 bedroom terraced and semi-detached homes and 3, 4 and 5 bedroom detached homes, the development benefits from a selection of local amenities. Marden Station, just over half a mile away, offers direct trains to London in just under an hour, making Windsor Meadow a rural retreat ideal for commuters.

Brambledown in Maidstone is a selection of 36 houses, including 2 and 3 bedroom semi-detached homes and detached chalet bungalows as well as 3, 4 and 5 bedroom detached homes. Set amongst picturesque surroundings and situated on the edge of Maidstone, each home has been carefully designed to suit the needs of modern buyers.
Making up the final third of the Kent Collection, The Old Orchard in Sutton Valence is a stunning collection of 5 homes comprising; a pair of 3 bedroom semi-detached homes and 4 and 5 bedroom detached homes. The Old Orchard is perfectly placed to benefit from all that the South East has to offer, Sutton Valence is a quintessential village that stands tall over The Weald of Kent. Perfect for those who like spending time outdoors, the development is surrounded by stunning woodland, fields and paths including The Weald of Kent Golf Club, an acclaimed parkland course and Leeds Castle, one of the most visited stately homes in Britain.

As with all Millwood homes specification is high and have been designed in keeping with the architectural style of Kent. Some of the homes having traditional styled feather edge weatherboarding and reclaimed bricks. Modern kitchens feature a comprehensive range of units, ceramic floor tiles, worktops and fully integrated appliances, including an induction hob and electric oven. Bathrooms also feature contemporary white suites with ceramic floor tiles and chrome fittings.

Maidstone town centre is located a short distance from all of the developments.  For those needing to travel or commute, there are good rail links to London from Maidstone East and West Stations. By road, the M20 is close and leads directly to M26 and M25, providing easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow Airport, for international travel.
Prices for a two bedroom house start from £320,000 at Windsor Meadow and from £315,000 for at Brambledown. At The Old Orchard prices start from £465,000 for a three bedroom house.
