Eighteen-year-old local schoolgirl Hayley Marcroft, who lives in Tonbridge, has been awarded Hillview School’s Prize for Creativity, which is sponsored by Tonbridge-based housebuilder Millwood Designer Homes.
Philip Brown, Millwood’s Sales Director, was delighted to visit the school and meet with Hayley, where he presented her with a trophy along with a £50 cheque and £50 book token.
Says Philip, “Hayley is currently studying Business Studies, English Literature and Language, but it is for 3D Design that she has been awarded the Prize for Creativity for being an outstanding student. Design is something she is clearly very passionate about and I was delighted to hear that she plans to go on to study Interior Architecture at university. It is wonderful to see someone so young already with a clear focus on what she wants to do with her life and I wish her all the best for the future.”
Hayley was thrilled to receive the award, saying, “I think everything I have done in my life has led me to this point and is why I am receiving this award today. From the architecture project I did in primary school to create a new entrance and building, to my work experience in interior design, I have discovered something that I love and so I completely threw myself into the 3D Design course. I want to create something for people to enjoy which is why I have chosen Interior Architecture. I am looking forward to going onto university and starting my career.”
